Comments by "80s Music" (@eightiesmusic1984) on "Boris Johnson embarrasses himself in car crash Good Morning Britain interview" video.
He claimed credit for the freedom bus pass that Elsie sits on to stay warm because she cannot afford to heat her home. One meal a day means she is not eating anywhere near enough to stay healthy, especially at her age. This is Britain in 2022, beyond parody, beyond hope. I am not holding my breath but the opposition parties should repeatedly hone in on how utterly and callously detached from reality Johnson and his party is. Government by the rich for the rich. Whose Lorraine? should also be utilised endlessly to highlight the issue. It is a lie ( surprise surprise) to say it is a global issue. Brexit has a lot to do with rising costs but of course Labour cannot talk about that because it wants racists to vote for it, which is unacceptable to anyone who claims to be on the left. In France, evidence shows that it is the bottom five percent of earners whose income has been hit in terms of cost of living- the rest are barely affected, if at all. Here is is far more systemic and is affecting millions because the government does not care. Watching the reference to choices on how to spend money in the interview this morning reminded me that this is at the heart of the Tory creed if you are not rich; you are on your own and if you cannot manage, it is your fault. Yet the people think these con artists are on their side.

I do not watch the BBC because it pretends to be impartial and hold government to account. It does not such thing as instead it is a government mouthpiece. State broadcaster, after all. GMB is not perfect by any means and sometimes it plays into right wing talking points. It is also clear sometimes where the presenter is coming from politically when their own views should be hidden. But ultimately ITV's objective is to make money through adverts, which is more honest than the BBC pretending it is actually doing what it should be. By far some of the tougher interviews with government or anyone else for that matter are on GMB.

Government by the rich for the rich. Now he is pretending to care about Ukraine like a pound shop Churchill ( he was no saint either and there were plenty of others in the Labour or Conservative Party who would have been at least as effective as war time Prime Minister).
