New data? There is no data that supports flat earth, only attention-seeking twits making false claims that certain - let's say "educationally-challenged" - people swallow hook line and sinker because they've been sucked in to a ridiculous internet cult that has convinced them they are special if they reject science. There is nothing to look in to, nothing to research - unless you really enjoy wasting time and making yourself look silly.

It is. It’s also pretty east to debunk so probably not worth spending a lot of time being open minded on.

@raypeery6317 The existence of the Southern Celestial Pole, seen by every person in the Southern Hemisphere if they take the time to look, remains unexplained by flat earthers - because it shouldn't be possible if Earth is flat. There - debunked. See how easy that was?

The fact that earth is a sphere is self evident to anyone with a basic comprehension of science. No one needs to “prove” Earth is a globe.

Ha ha when I used to waste my time debating these clowns, I always used to say why doesn't one them put their money where their mouth is and go to Antarctica to see the midnight sun (which anyone with half a brain cell rattling around in their head would clearly see irrevocably disproves the theory). I'm glad to hear some one actually did it with predicable results.

There's a difference between traditional vaccines and the more recent, controversial ones - for a whole range of reasons; from the fact that they were rushed onto the market, they do weird, unnatural things to your cells, to being forced onto a lot of people or at the very least coerced with the threat of being social pariahs if they dared to exercise their bodily autonomy. It's quite a bit more nuanced than just "ooooh science".

@User-yy6xt I’m not personally worried about it. It’s a movement that will eat itself in time as it becomes abundantly evident that none of their claims have any substance. I think it’s unfortunate that people get sucked into it - both those who believe it and those who waste their time “debating” it - but it’s unlikely that any true flat earth believer would ever have been lining up for Nobel prize so it’s no great loss to humanity if someone spends a few years embarrassing themselves by believing something utterly stupid.

@User-yy6xt Nah, it's a globe, this has already been overwhelmingly proven in a multitude of ways. If you actually believe Earth is flat - and my guess is that you don't actually believe that, you're just looking for attention but if you do - then you are not worth wasting time on.

@raypeery6317 No, I'm really not. If someone wants to believe idiotic ideas, that's their prerogative. I think it's a great shame that the internet has allowed this nonsense to flourish but honestly, I'd rather live in a world where wrong ideas are allowed to be discussed than one where only the official version of the truth is allowed. So no, I'm not worried about it. Science will continue to lead to new discoveries and inventions, hopefully not to the detriment of humanity, while the flat earth theory will continue to contribute nothing.
