We do have computers in Tasmania. I’m pedalling mine right now.

Nice work - stick it to those shark killing c**ts! I wish the bullets were aimed at these wastes of space we have in government.

Thanks for shining a light on this issue. Tassie already has a massive amount of existing plantation forests - it really does beggar belief why Will Hodgeman would want to claw back the relatively small amount that was allocated in the forest agreement when there is no demand for woodchips and in the process plunge Tasmania back into a forest war that has been going on for decades just when it seemed that finally there was light at the end of the tunnel. I can only assume it's part of the "Green is bad" mentality that was shoved down our throats during the leadup to the election. Good on you Will, you fucking wanker. I didn't vote for you.

As much as I find Jordy a smug know it all, this isn’t about him dressing up as a Nintendo character is it? No matter how you look at it, this is a clear abuse of power.

Why is it considered racist if someone does an Asian accent? If it was a German or French accent for example - or Australian for that matter - no one would bat an eyelid but you do an Asian accent and suddenly you're being racist. He also does bogan impressions. Is that ok or is that being boganist?

Fuck off with your gun bullshit.
4
And how do you think this would have played out if Kristo pulled a gun on the guy arresting him?
3
I won't be voting Liberal due to their environmental record - but I certainly won't be voting Labor if their current dictat..(cough) premiers are anything to go by. Fuck me, imagine if the whole country was run by these dickheads.
3
Interested to hear what you have about these misinformation laws. Seems as though your mate Albo is marching us straight into 1984.
3
No thanks
3
Yes he's an ineffectual leader. However, the idea that voting him out is really going to make a difference is highly questionable. No matter who gets in, they will be a servant of the corporate elite, not you. Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee.

Baz~ We share the earth with other animals who depend on our compassion and humanity for their continued existence. Human beings, through our disregard for the natural environment have caused mass extinction at rate not seen for 250 million years. You reckon this video is "fkn stupid", well that's your opinion; I think your mentality is "fkn stupid"!

@roansythen as much as I disagree with what happened here, what you’re saying is a massive exaggeration and I for one am glad not to have the gun violence problems you have in your country (I’m assuming you’re an American). Safe to say I’m in a majority. So I reckon you should mind your own business.
2
@roansythen slavery pfft. Please. Get a life.
2
What happened to Peter Dutton’s eyebrows? I always knew there was something a bit weird looking, I only just realised it was the eye brows.
2
That’s a very simplistic view. Do you really want the government deciding for you what’s true and what’s not? You don’t see a problem with that?
2
Hmm, I get that you're a Labor supporter but good luck defending that prick. I'd be keeping your distance.
2
Flake is generally made from gummy shark and isn't an endangered species. Plus there is no evidence that killing sharks in this area is going to fix the problem.
1
I live in Tasmania and I don't personally know anyone who's illiterate but then again there are a fuck load of bogans living here as well.
1
***** It's up to the people of this country to have a say in environmental matters (particularly toward a government that is showing flagrant disregard for it) and yes it should be up for debate - there is no good reason to kill endangered species, especially when it's not going to make a single bit of difference and people are rightfully pissed off about it. If you go into a shark's territory then you run the risk of being eaten. If you accept that risk then that's up to you.

Falls Festival, Marion Bay is great. Still plenty of dickheads but enough space to have your own experience. Nice place too.
1
Which part was bs in your opinion?
1
@roansythen no country is perfect but there are ways of fixing problems without waving guns in each other’s faces. You can still get guns in Australia, the rules are just a lot stricter. Gun laws were changed in our country after a guy with the intellect of a 10 year old got hold of a bunch of semi automatic weapons and killed over 30 innocent tourists. Guess how many school shootings we’ve had in Australia since then ...

The sky didn't fall in last time, I doubt it will this time either.

There’s a lot to be said for legalising some drugs and ending the black market trade. People talk about marijuana bring a gateway drug - of course it’s a gateway drug if you’re buying it off some dodgy dealer! As far as ecstasy goes, I think it’s pretty overrated. In my 40 odd years I’ve come to realise that recreational drug taking is a massive waste of time and money but having said that, when you’re 20 you don’t think about consequences. So yes, pill testing is a good idea. Not being a reckless dickhead and putting your life at risk is also a good idea.

All the Labor premiers were vaccine-zealot dictators. Fuck letting them run the country. I’ll vote for whoever restores freedoms to let Australians be adults and make choices for their own bodies.
1
You make some good points. I think you're right, he came across as an actual person - flawed though he may be, people got a sense that he meant what he said. Kamala just said words that sounded nice and fluffy but came across as a scripted and kind of meaningless.
1
I think it’s fair to say Jordan and his producer were poking the bear and probably didn’t act with a great deal of wisdom - but you think sending in an anti terrorism unit and dragging the guy out of his home is an appropriate response? Be careful what you condone.

My Dad was a mechanic in the early 60's, back before anyone really worried about work place health and safety. The other workers in the shop used to play pranks on each other which progressed onto putting foreign objects in people's lunches - a popular one was to pop a rat's head under the lid of someone's pie and close it back up again. Anyway, my dad had the brilliant idea of putting a lubricant stick, which is sort of like a candle, in his mate Barry's pie. But Dad didn't take into account that the stick would melt with the heat inside the pie and Barry proceeded to eat the entire thing. When he went home sick in the afternoon, Dad started to worry and read the label only to see the poison warnings but not wanting to get in trouble he didn't own up to it. Things got worse the following Monday when Barry didn't turn up for work and Dad found out that he'd spent the weekend in intensive care. Thankfully Barry survived but Dad never owned up to it even though everyone that worked there knew it was him.

I see a lot of Yes and No campaigns, how about the "It's none of my business, vote however you want to" campaign?
1
@nicolajane7389 That may be the case, I'm aware that Labor have done some good in the past. But the fact is it's the corporate elite who are pulling the strings now. Voting one way or another will not change that. You may as well vote for your left toe for all the difference it will make. As for Labor, if the dictatorial behavior of the Labor premiers over the last two years is any indication, I'd rather them not be in charge of the country.

Just do what I do and don’t bother shaving

Sky news yeah … I click on their videos mainly because they leave the comments on and I like to read them. So of course now Youtube keeps recommending them to me. I appreciate that they push back on issues that the mainstream news won’t touch but the constant negativity gets a bit much sometimes. You make some good points here.
1
Fuck this show.
1
Might also be something to do with Labor premiers turning their states into police states.
1
@Dxyze Yes but it's government enforced. And who decides what's true and what's not? Either way it amounts to the same thing, a stifling of free speech and governments once again trying to exert control with the old "keeping everyone safe" bs.
1
@Dxyze You sound you like you actually support this atrocious bill.
1
@Dxyze This stuff is straight out of 1984 and you think it's a good thing. Ok. You don't see how this can (and most likely will) be used to censor debate and control narratives? Mate come on, there is a reason why so many people are opposed to this horrible thing. You're entitled to your opinion of course but maybe you need to take into consideration the massive red flags that this is raising up. I find it difficult to comprehend your point of view.
1
@Dxyze This stuff is straight out of 1984. I find it hard to comprehend how someone could be oblivious to the massive red flags that this thing raises up.
1
@Dxyze The potential for abuse, the very idea that we need governments to dictate what is true and what's not, censorship of debate, vagaries in the wording, etc. And who gets to decide what is true and what's not? How is that going to implemented? There are many examples of so-called "disinformation" that were censored by tech companies at the behest of governments that turned out to be true. The freedom to discuss and debate ideas, even wrong ones, is central to democracy. Once measures are put in place to stifle that, it's a very dangerous and slippery slope.
1
@Dxyze My comments keep disappearing so I give up. I hope you're right about this but basically the potential for this bill to be abused is an afront to the very ideals of democracy and I fear we are being led down a very slippery slope.
