  1. Her comments weren't particularly controversial, the outrage is just over the top shrieking from these perennially offended minority groups who have decided to use her as a punching bag.

  2.  @sydtopia say what you will to defend her performance, last I checked the Olympics were about the highest pinnacle of sporting prowess. Anyone could see that her moves were clunky and amateurish. I don’t think Australians should be embarrassed unless they’re actively making excuses for her ridiculous display of incompetence. Having said that, I imagine the intense global scrutiny must be unimaginably difficult for her to deal with but she should’ve known she didn’t belong there.
