Even worse than their own mother?
2
@smellsuperb1 and Ralph actually deserved it
2
Tony didn’t give permission for that, that was all Richie
2
He kinda did betray the family because both his father and Tony did not want him to be involved with the family
1
@datbtrue he almost did but didn’t
1
Wasn’t junior planning a shooting in the restaurant?
1
He even gave Artie a pass when Artie pulled a gun and threatened to shoot him
1
I wouldn’t really call it a betrayal on Tony’s part since he really was offering advice that Angelo agreed with. Outside of that Tony tried to stay out of that conflict
1
Blowing up vesuvio and killing tony blundetto shouldn’t be included, Tony had the restaurant burned in order to prevent junior from executing a hit there (which would’ve royally messed up artie’s business) and blundetto was a mercy kill since Phil was going to torture blundetto before killing him. Both of these only happened because tony got backed into a corner
1
I kinda disagree since it wasn’t done out of ill intent
1
Tony might’ve used the baby seat thing as an excuse to rationalize what he did but it was still a valid excuse
1
Tony wouldn’t have had to ask since he was the boss and Ralph was one of his capos
1
@jasminventura6577 it’s a toss up between Silvio and Bobby for being the most loyal, both proved themselves to Tony (and Bobby was at a big disadvantage due to being married to Janice and inadvertently causing Tony to get shot by junior yet he still managed to impress tony enough to eventually become one of his right hand men)
1
That and because Chris was a liability
1
He only betrayed one of them (Chris), he was an ass to furio but didn’t actually do anything to him and blundetto was a mercy kill since blundetto did 2 unsanctioned hits and was going to be tortured to death by Phil
1
Plus tony only had the restaurant burned because junior was adamant about killing a rival there
1
Junior didn’t have the backing of the other capo’s, tony gave him the title of boss (in name only) in order to prevent a war. Hell, junior was still considered a boss even after Tony took power and didn’t have any problems with junior until junior shot him during a dementia episode
1
Only Richie and feech respected him, the other capo’s didn’t respect him because he wasn’t being reasonable money wise
1
@Oddbisket except tony was a victim of his parents
1
Wouldn’t call burning vesuvio a betrayal either because Tony only did that because junior planned to carry out a hit there and Tony couldn’t convince him not to. Hell, tony even gave Artie a pass when Artie pulled a gun on him over that when Tony has killed people for less
