Except he didn’t really do that, he would’ve gone all the way if he had wanted to get with her

Given the severity of Chris’s injuries, it’s likely that he couldn’t be saved unless an ambulance got there immediately

@NateBullock-ow6on maybe
2
You’re kinda overlooking the fact that the reason why tony had to deal with livia on his own was because both of his siblings left as soon as they got the chance. The main reason why he had more issues with Janice is because she likely bullied him and because she spent more time with their father
2
@hystericalgenie1671 and tony did still keep him around for advice, he didn’t even try going after him after junior had shot him
2
@maeday6 in the case of Vito it’s more like he didn’t care as long as it didn’t effect business
2
By earning a lot of money
1
@passiveaggressivenegotiato8087 true but there’s no way to disprove it either
1
Tony was actually the one that asked him to do that
1
Plus there’s no guarantee that Chris would have made it to the hospital in time
1
You’re overlooking the fact that while Johnny was neglectful of tony, he wasn’t very abusive to tony. The same can’t be said for livia
1
His childhood
1
Livia deserved worse than that, she threatened to kill all of her kids at one point
1
It’s possible that Tony didn’t actually know who killed Chris’s father
1
It was the drugs plus the fact that Chris’s baby daughter would’ve definitely died if she was there with them when they crashed
1
Especially since Phil’s version of mercy it to brutally torture you to death
1
That and Chris’s daughter would’ve absolutely been killed if she had been in the car with them during the crash
1
Ralph deserved it though, the other members of the crew hated Ralph and actually wanted tony to deal with him
1
@6ft2220beast true but tony was running out of ways to deal with Ralph and the rest of his crew was about to turn on Ralph
1
They co-owned the horse, tony didn’t have complete ownership of the horse
1
Bobby had Janice so that’s almost as bad considering how toxic she was
1
@thatinternetdude1392 Phil was threatening to kill some of Tony’s guys if he didn’t have blundetto handed over to him so tony didn’t have any options
1
@etarver13 the doctor only said it was possible, that doesn’t take into account the time it would take for an ambulance to reach Chris and get him to the hospital so there’s still the possibility that he would have died from his injuries
1
Chris would’ve also killed his own daughter if she was there with them
1
Agreed, tony might not be a great parent either but he was at least there for his kids and did want them to be better
1
@11bkev that and the crash would’ve killed Chris’s daughter if she had been with them
1
@Confluence-of-Cultures I’d disagree with you there since you’re overlooking the one person that basically caused tony to become like that since as bad as tony was, tony never tried to kill his own kids. Livia was much worse she threatened to kill all of her kids on at least one occasion and actually did try to kill tony just because he had her moved to a retirement home. If that’s how she treated the kid that stuck around to look after her while the other two bailed then it’s no wonder why tony was such a hot mess
1
@AlphaQHard except she wasn’t, she was just doing her usual bs
1
@Confluence-of-Cultures no, I can name at least three characters who were bigger d-bags than tony was. Richie Aprile, Phil Leotardo, and Livia Soprano were all worse than Tony was
1
@Confluence-of-Cultures they didn’t, Richie was completely disrespectful towards Tony despite tony being ranked higher than him and Phil was so bad at leading his crew they ultimately set him up to be killed. There were multiple times where Tony tried to resolve things with Phil more peacefully but Phil always refused and was itching for a fight (Tony didn’t want to fight Phil until Phil really pissed him off) Tony wouldn’t have killed the horse as it’s well established that he loves animals, Ralph killing the horse was just the last straw (you also forget that the rest of the crew hated Ralph as well). You’re also overlooking the fact that livia tried to have tony killed and was very abusive towards him his entire life even though he tried to be a good son for her, he didn’t even try to kill her until after she had tried to kill him after he put her into a retirement home despite the fact that she did need it and he had good intentions
1
@Confluence-of-Cultures it wasn’t just about Ralph starting to seem more human, Ralph had been causing problems for the family. In Phil’s case it was more how far he pushed things that was the problem. I’m not sure why you think that I think that Tony was a douche because I fully agree that he was one, it’s just my opinion that he isn’t the worst one though he’s definitely up there. I also wouldn’t call tony a full blown sociopath since he did have genuine friendships with others like Artie Bucco (tony did give him a pass after Artie pulled a gun on him), Silvio Dante, Beansie, and to an extent Bobby Bacala (he did try to ensure that Bobby’s kids would be taken care of after Bobby was killed). I would say that he did have some sociopathic tendencies though (can’t really blame him considering how horrible his parents were)
