  1. Steve Martiniussen except the ones from 28 days later aren’t technically zombies as they are still alive. The infected basically act like zombies but can be killed the same way as regular people while the ones from the remake of Dawn of the Dead are true zombies and can only be killed by breaking their necks or damaging/destroying their brains

  3. Leonardo Hernandez as is The Crazies (2010), it completely blows the original out of the water

  4. Carl Rees the remake is better in some ways, namely Barbra, the effects, and the entire third act (which went with the ending that Romero had originally wanted)

  5. Skeleton Crew that plus it upgraded the effects for the zombies (including having them bite) and it went with the original ending that Romero had wanted for the 1968 movie

  6. JohnDaWhale3 it doesn’t do some things better than the original, namely the pacing, the effects, and the horror (the original focused on satire and wasn’t really that scary). I say this due to having watched both movies

  13. emmamaria actually the running zombies started with The Return of the Living Dead if I’m not mistaken. I do agree though, 28 days later basically kickstarted the prominence of the running zombies even if the infected aren’t technically zombies (the only real difference being that the infected can die through regular injuries while zombies can’t)
