Seras wittnessed both of her parents get murdered, was injured by one of the killers (possibly shot, and was basically forced to watch one of the killers rape her mothers corpse. That's not even counting the people she lost during her time with hellsing and when she joined. Her team got turned into zombies, was about to get raped and turned into a zombie herself, was fatally shot by alucard to kill the vampire that killed her team (alucard offered to turn her into a vampire after that), and she witnessed a number of her friends/comrades at hellsing get killed

  5. Lee Minchung I'm surprised that Revy from Black Lagoon, Seras Victoria, and Alucard from Hellsing weren't mentioned, all three had brutal pasts (especially Revy and Alucard since both were raped at some point)

  8.  @Deathmare235  I’d argue that he did have it harder than sasuke (mainly because sasuke had people that were trying to be there for him but actively ignored them) but not naruto, gaara, or itachi. Just like itachi, kakashi was forced to kill somebody close to him since Rin forced kakashi to kill her. The main difference between sasuke and kakashi is that kakashi ultimately didn’t shun the people that were trying to help him (though he eventually wound up losing all of them except for guy)

  17.  @Deathmare235  I’d argue that kakashi had it worse since he was younger than sasuke when both of his parents died (both died before he was 5) and because he was thrown onto the battlefield of a ninja war. Most of the characters that you had mentioned were technically child soldiers but didn’t actually fight in a war until they were around 16-17, kakashi was thrown into the third great ninja war before the age of 10.
