Same but I would also point out that Steve should’ve told tony the truth about his parents, likely at some point between winter soldier and age of ultron

@Otobi and iron man was not even denying it. This was at the point feeling very guilty over how his decisions hurt people (including himself) and was genuinely trying to own up to his mistakes. Civil War and the aftermath of sokovia were a very rough time for him, that’s probably why he was trying to be a good influence on Peter

@derrickhaggard that and as we saw in the later movies his original intentions behind the ultron project were well warranted. He intended for ultron to be a defense against guys like thanos but no one listened to him and he did make some mistakes in how he created ultron

@derrickhaggard tony also outright said that parts of the accords could be amended over time, showing that he was willing to try to achieve a middle ground with Steve. I’d also point out that Tony’s concerns about Wanda were warranted considering what she is actually capable of doing

@joermnyc true but he still could’ve told tony when he did know, especially since he knew that tony places a high value on trust due to having been betrayed more than once in the past. I’m not exactly blaming Steve since he was in the position of having to protect one friend from another friend but the fact that he didn’t tell tony the truth dealt a huge blow to any trust tony had in him

And yet Steve didn’t seem to take into account the aftermath of the battles the avengers fought. Both Steve and Tony had great points, the avengers should have some oversight to prevent disasters like sakovia but they also should have a degree of independence so they can protect people. Steve also fucked up about handling the truth about Tony’s parents he should’ve told him the truth at some point

@sum0panduhhh118 true and that’s why I said they both had good points

That’s why I’d choose to be in the middle, they both had good points

Actually thranduil didn’t give those gems to the dwarves since he later revealed that they had belonged to his wife, it seems that the dwarves had acquired them somehow but refused to return them to thranduil unless he paid for them. The other reason why thranduil didn’t send his people to aid the dwarves when Smaug attacked is because he knew it would be suicide

@blutaar3263 I admit you’re right about the raiding part but I’m pretty sure that he did not gift the white gems to thror. If he did gift them then why was he angry with thror for shutting the chest containing them in front of him? I’m pretty sure the extended version of the first two hobbit movies show that thranduil did not give those gems to thror

@blutaar3263 thranduil was also a survivor of doriath, an elven kingdom from the first age that was destroyed by the dwarves of belegost
