@aurinrakkun8589 I think he actually fought all 7. You are probably thinking about Fingon since he died fighting multiple balrogs. If Fëanor and Fingon are badass for fighting multiple balrogs before dying then what does that say for Fingolfin since Fingolfin died fighting morgoth himself? I’d say that Fingolfin was an ultimate badass

@pvtshinoda except it was awakened by durin the 6th

It would be even more hardcore if they rode winged dragons

@TheWarmachine375 absolutely
4
It wasn’t an army of them, it was only 7 of them

@the-engneer if it was then number one would probably be morgoth or ungoliant
4
@aurinrakkun8589 hence why Fingolfin is referred to as being the strongest elf (from a combative standpoint)

@the-engneer ironically, ungoliant originally served him just like the balrogs and Sauron did
2
@ImHeo I believe it is 7 officially but only 3 got specific mentions

@marcbartuschka6372 The silmarillion went with the 7 balrogs since the early versions had balrogs being more numerous but not as much of a threat. It was decided to reduce their numbers and make them far more powerful in order to make the balrogs opponents to be feared, I think it was a wise decision since they would’ve been almost as weak as the orcs otherwise

@blackflagsnroses6013 I’d probably still go with morgoth for number one since he was the source of all evil in arda and was the most powerful of the valar

Helms deep

@HerrrLuna and that’s not even mentioning the older battles

I’m a little surprised that morgoth himself isn’t listed, he’s literally the source of all evil in arda and was the most powerful of the ainur
