  2. Cyril Smith VA it could be argued that goku was the MVP since he was the one who faced the toughest opponents. Sometimes being the MVP means making the sacrifice play to ensure that your teammates are the last ones standing, 17 would’ve been screwed if goku and frieza didn’t eliminate jiren by eliminating themselves

  3. Deathpool_04 they didn’t sacrifice vegeta, he was just eliminated. The only sacrifices on team universe 7 (aside from goku and frieza) were 18, gohan, piccolo, and tein (krillin was taken out like a bitch and Roshi eliminated himself when he couldn’t fight any longer). While most of the team did pull the sacrifice play, goku was taking on most of the heavy hitters from the other universes while everyone else on the team dealt with the rest. I’d say that the only heavy hitters that goku didn’t face in the tournament were toppo, hit, and cabba (not counting analaza since eliminating him was a team effort) while goku faced caulifla, kale (both separately and fused), and jiren multiple times despite being extremely exhausted during most of those fights
