Mikaela Nielsen and when they do the injuries are usually either severe or fatal depending on the type of shark (injuries from a great white shark tend to be particularly bad considering their size and strength)

I bet there were people who also said that for 28 days later and Dawn of the dead (2004) as well
2
Dominic Evans tell that to the people who tried to kill him and failed
2
It's a horror movie by 1970's standards
2
I disagree about dawn of the dead being overrated, as far as zombie movies go its one of the better ones and is the best zombie movie to get remade/rebooted (the only other good zombie remake is the 1990 remake of night of the living dead)
2
Jurassic Park isn't a horror movie

The intro was great but the rest of the movie could've been better (was still pretty good though). I'd say the end credits were just as good as the intro, when the man comes around and down with the sickness were PERFECT for this movie
1
And Dawn of the dead beats both of them (in my opinion)
1
I'd say that anything that comes before the opening credits counts as an opening scene
1
+Melissa Saar still, it does a great job setting the movie up for when all hell broke lose
1
Edward Ness considering that scene came before the opening credits I think it would count as an opening scene
1
They aren't zombies but their VERY close
1
They should've included the cash intro with dawn of the dead
1
Agreed, the opening scene from the Dawn of the Dead remake VASTLY improved on the originals opening
1
I've seen both versions and the opening scene in the Dawn of the Dead remake doesn't slightly improve on the opening scene of the original, it vastly improved on it
1
I honestly feel that the opening for the Dawn of the Dead remake was a little better since it started the evening before the outbreak with the main character literally waking up to hell on earth the next morning
1
Those 20 minutes were the opening scene, the intro part (the clip with the Cash song) was right after it
1
rmpbklyn very loosely based on a real event
1
ButterflyQueene07 very loosely based on him
1
I'd put them higher on the list
1
Zombieland is more comedy than horror so it wouldn't count
1
Pamela Voorheese (Jason's mom)
1
callum sullivan I liked it too but I’d say that both 28 movies and the Dawn of the Dead remake had more pulse pounding openings
