  1. Gungriffen the marines didn’t actually know what the xenomorphs were, they basically confirmed it during the briefing. Even ripely didn’t know that they couldn’t be detected by infrared. I do agree that the marines were overwhelmed and lost most of their ammo. They went in without truly knowing what they were up against. If I was the one planning the mission I would’ve tried to lure them out

  2. Gungriffen Gorman messed up but that was inexperience, they were all very unprepared for the xenomorphs since they didn’t know that they can’t be detected through infrared
