  1. I definitely know how powerful backhoes can be. My dad has one that is nearly 50 years old and was only taken out of commission when I accidentally ran it too low on engine oil. I remember using it a few years ago to move several buckets full of oak tree pieces (somewhere around 2,000 pounds) and it had no problem doing it
