@seethen0 there have been ice ages that lasted for millions of years but they occurred over 550 million years ago

@seethen0 only for a few years and humanity would still have problems. The samalas eruption (along with a few other volcanoes over the centuries) likely triggered the little ice age and the little ice age led to multiple famines and outbreaks of disease (the prime example being the infamous Black Death). I’d rather that humanity try to curb global warming without having to have a repeat of the little ice age

@user-yb7ik6sb1v that was 26-27 million years ago, not 25 million. Toba was smaller than the fish canyon tuff but is still the largest eruption within the past 25 million years.
