  1. Linus Torvalds isn't Richard Stallman. Translation = Linux is not entirely FOSS, except in a few rare distros that can be found on the FSF website. I understood this before I even installed my first Linux distro. Part of the problem is that it's near impossible to write code for hardware because it's proprietary. But also, people expect everyone else to write the code and aren't willing to contribute themselves. Hence, people shouldn't complain unless they're willing to contribute.
