I lived in a little town south of Knoxville TN..there was an influx of people, mostly from Michigan, who moved there because they liked the scenery and the slower laid back lifestyle of the South. After awhile, they began to get involved in the area politics, they , little by little, began to dismantle what they were at first attracted to. With enough votes and persuasion, they changed into something similar to where they came from. Most average locals whose families had generations of roots in that State and area, couldn't even afford to buy even small acreages of land. The price of land shot up astronomically. It just went bad.

@KayFabe87 No Indigenous? 🤔 hmmm. If my Mom was alive I could break that news to her and I'm shocked that I'm Indigenous..but not ? Looks like us Indigenous have been cancelled...like everything else

@papi4253 It's not improvement my friend when the price of land goes so high that locals who have a strong history and roots in that area can't afford to buy land anymore, or when taxes overwhelm those who have sweat, blood , and heritage in their land, for outsiders to come in and tear away the very fabric of what attracted them there to begin with and change everything , not for the better, but for the worse. This is an economical and culture war that's going on. I call it The 2nd Invasion of The Southern People and that's exactly what it is

@timmayotte1645 If capitalism is destroying a communities way of heritage, history, and blood soaked into the roots and ground, if that's what capitalism is, then somewhere we've gone wrong and F that kind of capitalism!

@papi4253 Yep, nailed it on the head.

@sharkmedia5969 They don't respect or "blend" into the culture, that's the problem, besides others, they DOMINATE and turn it into the hell holes they came from.

I get it now. You're really not talking about anything. WTF ?
1
@papi4253 Yep, you're right. That's how they do it.

@stevehilliard1495 I'm Indigenous, so I get it

@krockpotbroccoli65 Got that right. They move because they like our way of life, then turn it into the same place that they come from. We have to stop selling land to outsiders who don't give a 💩 about the locals and their culture. Some things we sell, we'll never get back. We must unify and think about the consequences, if not, we lose more than we can ever get back.
