Seems like your statement has been inspected and rejected. I was raised there up to my teen years and Chicago's always been a violent town just depends where ya live. Times HAVE changed though and the violence today is far higher on the scale than I experienced and remember. That's why some folks found it hard to believe about being safe. Yeah, definitely different times.
