  1. America used to be about freedom, individual freedom, long as you weren't hurting anyone else. These "off gridders" , and others like them, though they have to work with their land and animals, to me, ARE the American Dream and I respect them so much. It's something I wanted to do from my earlier years, but, life didn't go that way though I worked hard. I'm 71 now, very bad health, so I can only dream through the reality of these younger ones. God bless you all, none of us should have to depend on the things that destroy our dreams...if you're young , or still in good health..go for it !
