In the USA, according to our Constitution, we have freedom of speech to say whatever we want (in recent years that seemingly has changed). When governments start categorizing speech such as "hate" speech, "racist" speech, which I think most of us willingly don't use any of those terms, but it then starts suppressing anything they decide is unacceptable. That's not freedom of speech when they decide what is acceptable or not. I don't go along with anything of that ilk as far as hate or racist but I do believe someone of a different mindset should be able freely choose their own words and speak them. However, when they do, they must be ready for backlash and consequences which will come. I might not agree and vehemently oppose their position but they should still have the freedom to speak and not be limited. However, they used to say "Your freedom of speech ends when you scream out "FIRE !" in a movie theater when there isn't. " And, your right to swing your fist at my face stops BEFORE you hit my nose." Anyone should be able, if it's a free society, to say whatever they want, but, also realize there is responsibility and consequences. If someone's talking, they're not really hurting me, my skin is tougher than that, if they take it beyond words then I , or anyone, has a right to defend, and whatever force is needed to accomplish that. Other than that, be free, speak away. Also, I really admire how Elon responded to that reporter, it was great ! 😂😂
