@limonesycafe8898African "Kings" captured and sold their own into slavery to the Arabs, then to the Spanish, and in the tail end of the dog, the Caucasians came along. Slavery was practiced in Africa a long time before it reached American shores and compared to Africa and the Middle East, it died a quicker death. That's history.

@mariecait Some say the Irish weren't slaves but "indentured servants." You're right, many of the Irish were looked upon as less than a slave back then, but while there's indentured servants, there is also slavery, far different, and they (the Irish) WERE slaves and endured the same things as any African slaves, but no one wants to hear that even though it was history.

@charleshendrix232 Especially the South ? It wasn't the South that legalized the horrible law of one man can own another, it was the U.S. Government, before there was a Confederacy. Talk to them about it. I want reparations for my Union Ancestor who fought in that war between the States...but I ain't gonna get it. How about the hundred of thousands of Union soldiers who died fighting in that war, which was the result of freeing the slaves ? Where's reparations for their families today. It ain't gonna happen.

@kimanismith8267 Really ? What "reparations" have Native Americans received for the real genocide of their Ancestors ? Ain't gonna happen . Casinos? Private enterprise on Tribal land, NOT reparations for the genocide. IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN so take a lesson from Native Americans, don't depend on the government, dig yourself out of the ditch 'cause no one else will. Not all tribes have casinos, or wealthy. The Rosebud and some other Reservations are like 3rd world nations, riddled with poverty and have been the victims of violence by the government for many years, even forced sterilization of our women in the 1970's. People don't know of the violence , in one form or another, still yet that goes on because there's no news coverage of it, we're the forgotten Americans. No one is going to dig us out of the ditch but us .
