Those ayahs that mention the so called scientific facts, their interpretation varies and even some muslim scholars think that trying to link science with verses in Qur'an doesn't work. Plus science doesn't give you an absolute knowledge so you can claim that the Qur'an mentions some scientific fact and imagine then that the science changes its mind. Would you then say that the Qur'an made a mistake? Also the point of religion is not to be science, it is meant to be a guide to how to live your life. Your question why monkeys still remain monkeys shows me that you don't understand the basics of evolution. I am an agnostic actually and you don't need to be an atheist to believe in evolution. When we say that cars, machines, buildings have designers, we say that bc we have an experience of those things being created by people but not every single thing is created by us, there are also natural things. Why can't the universe be the creater in some form, why can't it be eternal?
