@zero-dollartrader6440 Yes US is better, much better, Iraq and Syria is not under US occupation and are not annexed by US. Iraq has signed up as a NATO partner. Note that Afghanistan GDP rose rapidly when US was there. When US left, Afghan wanted to go to US/west and allies and not a single one went to russia.

@ao4474 over a million troops (3.5m) for a country the size of russia is nothing they need those troops to defend their country. Even tiny Skorea have close to 7million military personals. Tiny India have over 5million.
