  3. There is a course, probably not taught anymore called 'analytical trig". It describes what is called 'The wrapping function". Pi is 3.1416 (rounded). That is actually how many times it takes the radius of the circle, (half the diameter), to wrap around the circumference of the circle. It takes "3.1416 radius lengths" to wrap around the circumference of that same circle,---if that helps.
