USA did well because it was based on individual liberty protected by law with free people creating free enterprise, and it was called "The Land of Opportunity" by our great grand parents who moved here from nations of despotism (collectivism). This man thinks man should suffer. God did not give man a brain to suffer. Not only idiotic, but suicidal.

It is the clash of philosophy actually. The USA was exceptionally founded on individual liberty protected by law with free enterprise, that was born during the age of reason. I thought in 1976 (The USA 200th birthday), that the rest of the world would wee how well we are doing with our philosophies, and join in. But the opposite has happened, communism has destroyed the meaning of freedom over the last 2 generations, and nobody knows what it is anymore. We have to live by some kind of philosophy, and we are simply left with no choice. We all live under a dictatorship now.
