  1. He will remember that for the rest of his life. I have had some amazing close calls on dirt bikes that I pulled out of, but he has to be the luckiest man to ever drop a bike. Nasty head shake put him down. That is a bike handling/set up problem. I have never seen a movie stunt man try to pull that off. Good for him. :)

  5. I got into Mt. Bike riding for a while, and met a lot of road riding guys who were trying it out. Just about every real avid road rider has been hit by a car at least once.

  6. What do you think the speed difference was? I would say max 15mph or slightly less. I am sure he got banged up a bit as he was punted into the grass area past the shoulder, (I am assuming), but I bet he did not break any bones, unless he stuck his hand out for the fall too much. It is too easy for your bike to turn if you turn your head back to see if there is traffic coming, but that guy started turning left before he even looked.

  9. Believe it or not. most avid bike riders are pretty good with studies like physics. But a lot of them are the social justice warrior type, and fighting for rights in areas that are disjointed. They have the attitude, "It is my right to ride here", even if they can figure out the probability that they will most likely get hit by a 2 or more ton car before one year of riding is complete. Yes, we do have the right to be stupid too, (in the face of reality), and they practice it very well.

  10. You have to be among the most brain dead social activists to ride a bicycle on a freeway. Why not a NHRA drag strip in race weekend, or a airport runway at O'Hara during the 4th of July weekend? "I have my rights!" Yes, and the right to be stupid is one of them--unfortunately for them as a top priority. Notice, just about everybody in a free society who has a messed up life is because they try to make up reality instead of discover it,--and it is reality kicking their butts.
