For the 1st part, everything that can happen has a probability, and stuff like that does happen that close, or closer. For the 2nd part, I don't think it fell. It had, most likely, been dropped. For the 3rd part not expressed: We used to have a civil society.

  4. You forgot half of it. But things are new today. We always worry about killing somebody else if people do stupid things behind the wheel. But in my day, the stupid driver did not want to get killed either. The other half included here: ""Do not use the phone when you're driving. You're going to kill yourself, and maybe take somebody else with you." We have a "self". Don't forget the "self". :)
