  1. I have to comment. I do believe human nature is basically good, and it is the criminal that is the mistake. If we think human nature is basically bad, and the good man is the mistake, (even though you know them personally), than we could never have a civil society. It is not foolish to believe human nature is good, it is essential if we want to be good. As a figure of speech only, "You can't be a God, if you were born a Goblin." It is not a struggle for good people to be good. It is human nature, and humans intelligence to reject evil. Good values could not be formed, if man was basically bad.
