How come there are no lawyers anymore who protect individual liberty, (especially against the state)? Because you can bet your sweet bippy that when the progressive movement, (university professors coming from Germany at the beginning), came to the USA to "change the American mind", (National review), that they targeted the study of law first. So don't go thinking you are good at your job. (but no personal offense).

Yes.

Mr Lawyer. I can figure this out with an engineering degree. What put Tucker out of business is the "economic fascism" that has now evolved into the communism we face today,---if you can recognize it.

The media did what the government wanted,---just like today. The fact is, if it were not for economic fascism, (which started with the rail road industry I believe.), the industry would have had to compete, and the media would have no other interest but the truth. Now answer this question: If Tucker got destroyed by government in the USA after WW2, but Honda was allowed to build a manufacturing dynasty after WW2,---who really won WW2? When Tucker lost this liberty----we all lost it. Same goes for any stolen liberty in the USA.

Not even close. Tesla would not exist with out government favors. He is only in business because he is trying to build the electric cars that government wants you to drive. See any freedom there? It is things like the SEC and anti-trust laws that claim to keep everybody playing fair,---but they are really the way the government puts the screws to somebody who is not towing their line as much as they want. To be quite frank, Elon Musk does not seem like a very bright man IMO.

"The Tin Goose" was a derogatory statement made up by the media, just like "The Spruce Goose" that was made up to defame Howard Hughes. Please be more careful.

I thought just from the movie, that Tuckers lawyer was not on his side. The argument was that he did not try to make cars,--but had 50 of them built. But you solidified that conclusion for me. I do remember several teachers in my young grad school days in Michigan telling me, "You are free in this country, and you can grow up to be what ever you want to be.", (meaning we have a brain in our head, and a free enterprise system to use it in.). But now I realize,---they were not reading that from a text book. They were rogue teachers,---trying to protect liberty. Today, they get fired.

How does a politician enter office with modest means, get paid a fairly small 6 figure tax payer paid salary,---and retire a multi millionaire? They pick and choose who is going to win, and who is going to lose,--and the winners pay them. That is why when you see a guy like Trump running for office, who got rich in what is left of our free market with no lobbyists,---you better vote for that person. They live in real competition,---not economic fascism.

In the old USA, the car companies would not be in bed with government and they would have had to compete. The big 3 did not shut him down. Government did. It is called economic fascism,---and it has lead to the communism we face today. I guess the American people were not all that sharp about it back then either, because there should have been a national uproar.
