The only cure for race relations, is "individual liberty". In fact, I know a few Black families named Washington, Jefferson and Franklin. They have those names not because the slave owner gave the salves their own family names, (as taught today, as silly as that is), but because when they were freed, (as a result of the philosophies of individual liberty of our founding), they realized how great it was to have individual liberty, and named their own families after the people who finally implemented it for a society. Those ex-slaves in the USA, were very happy they ended up in the USA, just like I am very happy my great grand parents moved here from Poland.

@kenwilliamsvoice I am with ya man. Getting older white guy here who spent my life following my desires, (instead of becoming a political activist graduate), and after decades of school and work in manufacturing, I started my own little business. I did it part time for about 3 years, and it took off like it was alive. I was then making 6 figures out of my one car garage, and obama got elected. I turned on the news for the first time in my life, (remember, I was busy chasing my rational desires), and I asked myself, "What country is this from", (even Fox). I loved Trump in 2012 when he would talk for 10 minutes about unfair trade. I would turn the radio volume up all the way, (so my then progressively educated neighbors could, but I am sure was not listening), and dance in my front yard until he stopped talking. After obama got elected, I had a real hard time psychologically for about 3 years, than I discovered the writing of Ayn Rand, and I am not frustrated anymore, (I always hated the outsourcing to china for the last 3 decades, which set up my frustrations). Capitalism belongs to us! Every man woman and even child, not only in the USA, but the world! It is called communism when the governments run, (ruins) the economy. It is our ability to think to create business with individual liberty protected by law that creates a civil and prosperous society, and I have a simple example. Lest say you and I were taught to hate each other. But if we still have the liberty to create our own businesses, we might end up doing business together, (trading money instead of blood), like you own a print shop, and I need printing done. I dig your quality, price, on time delivery, and we start making more money together. What do we become? Friends.
Capitalism(free market) belongs to us citizens. We invented it which individual liberty allowed, and it is being stolen from us because the rules of the world don't want us making big money, (a Pizza shop is OK though). If you notice in many industries today, there are no beginners allowed. Maybe that is why I modify small 2-stroke gas engines for a living today, instead of making automobiles. RIP Preston Thomas Tucker.
With everybody I do business with, from the store teller to my customers to my bank, after the transaction, I now always say, "It was a pleasure doing business with you.", because I now know how special doing business with each other really is.

Good post, but the only thing missing is a definition of what capitalism was before it got distorted. It was a free citizenry who created the free market, and it actually belongs to every citizen. What we are seeing, is government's taking over our capitalism, our right to use our brains to compete in any industry, or build a new industry. Once a government takes over an industry, (that free people built), or over regulates it,---no beginners are allowed. Now since that is reality today, we are now seeing elected government "workers", telling us what we need to do for a living, "Just learn to code", (for one example). Strange, almost 50 years ago as a young boy, I was talking with a friend as we laughed, "In a communist country, you can't even grow up to be what you want to be."

No study will ever talk me into socialism/communism. I have personal experience with individual liberty and what may be the Lassiez-Faire industry on the planet, (recreational/RC model industry). I became a expert in manufacturing, earned 3 college degrees in manufacturing while working full time, and finally started my own business. I was just modifying small gas engines for racing applications for scooters, then the market changed and RC car companies started making a bigger car with the same engines I was modifying. That was when I was able to quit my job, and do my business full time. For the next three years, I made more money out of my one car garage than any union worker in the world, (and many lawyers too), over 125 grand a year. I think we need to demand our individual liberty back, and our free market back, (from government and their crony business partners), because there is no other system in the world that would allow me to make over 38 grand, (what I last made as a highly skilled, and highly educated employee). I don't even care if you support capitalism after your schooling. If you have not experienced individual liberty and the free market in your hands,----you can not explain it properly, unless your name is Ayn Rand.

The only information I know about George Patton is the movie I have called "Patton". But hollywood became more communistic in the 50's, and of course, that is seen in the movie, if you understand the premise of political things said. In a speech at the very beginning of the movie, with the big American flag on the wall behind him, talking about war, in national defense, he said "Individualism is a bunch of bull crap!". That may be true when it comes to commanding an army, but what did the movie writers think we were fighting for?
I don't know if the actual George Patton knew what he was suppose to be fighting for or not, but I don't think we have fought in self defense, for individualism ever since.
