Thank you, I did understand everything and I can't believe how I did it. Yes, it is the most simple explanation of quantum computers that I have ever seen. So, what are the algorithms that allow such a translation from Q computers to regular computers?

@mixer6166 You conveniently forgot to mention that the amount of predictions made by scientists overwhelmingly outnumbers those of less reputable people by a factor of 1000 to 1.

This is the most surprisingly interesting video I have seen on YouTube. It blew my mind! Thank you, Veritasium.

Excellent video and topic. I agree, the only obsolescence we should aim at is technological. Any and all of the rest can go f. themselves.

The title is misleading. What you say in the video would only be true if human minds are indeed Turing machines. We don't know that, therefore, we don't know if human minds are able to prove everything. Gödel's incompleteness theorem applies only to Turing machines, not to humans. Gödel actually thought that humans were capable of proving undecidable statements.

For those who are already disparaging scientists don't forget that the amount of predictions made by scientists overwhelmingly outnumbers those of non-scientists by a factor of 1000 to 1.

But if the wind that's moving you faster comes from a higher altitude, then you don't really need a propeller. You only need a higher-up sail to move faster than the wind at ground level. Thus, the propeller is redundant.

INTERESTING.

As a matter of fact, he didn't.

This is the first time I have seen real science applied to social issues and I am amazed. I wonder if this could also be applied to racial issues, like white entitlement. White people are mostly unaware of how lucky they are to have been born with the "right" color of their skin or eyes in a society that consistently rewards those traits. They may think that society is race-blind when in reality it is not. The same reasoning could be applied to gender.
