  11. I worked for the Democratic Party in FL during the 2020 elections and I am a Latino. The only hope for Democrats to recuperate the Latino vote is to emphasize the Puerto Rican community, which is a bastion against Donald Trump and has voted consistently against Republicans. Also, as the documentary said, and I myself witnessed, there was a lack of ads in Spanish for Latino voters, and it definitely hurt our chances. I pointed it out to many of my coworkers but nothing came of it. My impression was that the Dem. Party had just lost the will to win in Florida, which was sad because we could have done it in 2020 if we've just dedicated more effort to what matters.

Third, it was a rally to unite the right, specifically directed to white supremacists, as it was clearly stated from the official fliers. Fourth, do I need to go on?   15. I can testify that it has always been like that. Many Dominicans are rabid racists against Haitians. I have been to Haiti, as well as the DR many times. In one of those journeys, I was with my best friend, a black Puerto Rican who looks exactly like the guy in 11:02. He was detained by the Dominican police three times. They always asked him for his papers, but never me (and this was before the law of 2010). They seem so fixated in him because he was black and I wasn't. When I realized it, I was so enraged that, I asked the policeman in Spanish if he was a racist. He denied it, but he never asked me for my papers. Nobody did, it was always against my black friend. We left DR with the sour realization of how racially prejudiced they are against Haitians and blacks.

  17. That is just ignorant. More than 300 thousand Dominicans of Haitian descent had lived in DR for centuries. They were never given citizenship because they are so racist that they didn't want them to become Dominican citizens. During Trujillo's dictatorship, more than 50,000 were simply shot and 200 thousand were expelled. Now their descendants have been expelled for the same reasons. Because they hate black Haitians. I suppose most of it can be applied to our history as well.

  22. At 5:30 the documentary shows the picture of Michael Brown when he was a kid, but the shooting of Michael Brown years later was not racially motivated. It is one of the few cases in which the police officer actually shot the person in self-defense. It is not fair to mix the proven lynchings and racially motivated killings with cases that are clearly not.
