US Army just adopted the M10 Booker for mobile infantry fire support; cost $13M each. M10 has 105mm gun, .50 cal. machine gun, and 7.62 machine gun. A new BMP-3 costs about $2M. BMP-3 has 100mm gun, 30mm autocannon, and 3x7.62 machine guns. LOL. Russia wins.

FPV drones can't stop attacks by heavy armor; only artillery is powerful enough to actually stop attacks by armored vehicles. We've now seen it 100 times or more: the drones hit the vehicles but don't stop them. The troops land and disperse into cover or buildings and the infantry carrier may or may not survive to return to base, but it doesn't matter much as its job was done. The tanks may get hit a few times, even destroyed, but again it doesn't matter as the assault reached its objective. Only big artillery, 122mm, 152mm, 155mm can truly break up and stop an armored attack before it reaches its objective.

In Ukraine, in urban combat or due to the treelines everywhere, an Abrams can be flanked by a T-62M and defeated.

US had laser guided bomb in Vietnam, and years later upgrade to GPS, this type of weapon is nothing new but in all this time, NATO never bothered to develop a counter for it. They fought only poor people for so long, they saw no need as their opponents didn't have planes (or they had few inferior ones) , and GPS was theirs. They could not imagine someone else was wealthy enough to put their own satnav system in space, have lots of modern planes and bombs and could do the exact same thing. NATO grew weak and lazy because they had no credible opposition

In the type of war Ukraine is, what can a T-14 do that a T-62 cannot?

Not sure this is truth or propaganda. Kurakhove and many of the cities that have fallen in recent weeks in Donetsk look almost perfectly intact. There is almost no rubble or destroyed buildings. While cities that were first assaulted last Spring like Chasiv Yar and Kupyansk are in total ruins. If RU is using more glide bombs, they aren't using them in the South...

Fun fact. The fictional Mig-31 Firefox (from the 1982 movie of the same name), also had a rearward facing missile defense system; thought-controlled of course.. 🙂

I don't think they are. I don't know why, maybe they don't have that many of them yet, or there is some technical reason they don't use them. Especially in Kursk, where AFU has no real fortifications and are primarily entrenched inside forest belts to hide; a few of these on the forest belt would shatter whoever or whatever was in there. If they have them and are not using them on a place like that they are crazy...

no need for it....

What amazes me is how well those fat ugly things fly! Watch some vids of FAB-3000 being dropped by Su-34. They just pop open wings and glide along with not a wobble or shudder; butter smoothly all the way to the target. It really is strange to watch such a non aerodynamic object fly so well...

What is supposedly so "advanced" ? Not the engine, not the gun, optics and stabilizer is tech long ago mastered, the armor penetrated by modern weapons like any other tank. What "alien" tech inside is left??
