  1. Everyone has a different definition of "winning" so it is impossible to determine which side is doing so. All I know is that one year ago the "Special Military Operation" was a decapitation strike----regime change---Russia wanted the Zelensky government gone and a pro-Russia government in its place. NATO made that impossible so that "operation" Russia lost. However, Russia retreated to more defensible positions, and for the past 9 months has been doing something that looks a lot like "winning" to me, but I have no idea because I don't know what their goal is.

  2. Scott Ritter was right. Back in September he said there are Americans who have grown up after the Cold War that believe a nuclear war is "winnable". I thought he was nuts; now I see he was 100% correct.

  4. LOL. I predicted this months ago. Russia is already in possession of 80% of the LAND they care about. They only cared about the GOVERNMENT in Kyiv, not the land itself. Russia wants the annexed areas and Crimea, not all of Ukraine! They already have the most important territory!! It is only stupid Americans listening to CNN that believe Russia wants all of Ukraine (and Poland, Finland, etc.). Just LISTEN to what Putin has been saying for the past few years. Russia only cares about ejecting Ukraine from the annexed areas, and now will fortify them with a million mines, tanks, artillery and missiles, and fill the Black Sea with warships, and then sit tight and rebuild and repopulate.

  5. See Alsace in Franco-Prussian War. Russia knows it can't beat 40 other countries in a long war----they aren't stupid. Russia will dig in, make it impossible for a depleted AFU (even with Star Wars weapons) to eject them, and turn the annexed region into a DMZ so militarized it will make the one in NK look like Disneyland.

  6. I really feel badly for Ukraine. They are about to embark on a pitched battle offensive in the Zaporizhizhia region (based on estimates of 40K AFU troops massing there), undoubtedly this is where all the Leopards, AMX-10s, and Bradley's are as well. However, the Russians have at least 100K in that region alone with 200K more all along the Separatist Front. Plus at least 200 T-90s and at least that many T-80BV tanks, plus a massive advantage in artillery and air power. All waiting for Ukraine; and Ukraine has to try-----they can't have spent the last year begging for all this equipment and not bother to use it. Germany has almost bankrupted itself, and Biden may not even be around in 18 months-----they have to roll the dice soon. Russia will be waiting for them. When the smoke clears, Ukraine will have inflicted a lot of losses on Russia, but will have lost all 40K of their best troops and there will be no more Leopards, AMXs, and Bradleys. That's it. The war is over and Russia wins.

Quite literally everything said beginning at the 5:00 mark people like me (who thought Biden and NATO were insane to choose war), have said all along and the only response we got (until now) was "you Kremlin bot". This has been a disaster; doomed from the start, that anyone with an objective brain could have foreseen with very little imagination. RU's only mistake was underestimating how much NATO had armed Ukraine before the invasion. Since then, they've done almost everything right, and everything anyone who studies their martial history would expect them to. For God's sake some of the factories in the Urals currently making tanks and guns are in the same buildings they used in 1943!!

  8. Cannot argue with this. Correct the "Special Military Operation" was a decapitation operation; that is why Russia didn't level the country first----their "problem" was with Zelensky not the average Ukrainian. Well NATO weapons made that impossible so Russia went to "plan B"----the Russian way of doing things----turn the contested territory to rubble and occupy it. Ukraine will never now be de-militarized, but by keeping Crimea and the Annexed Areas, Russia will gain the "buffer" it desires and the warm water port it needs. Russia didn't win, but they won't lose either.

  10. How the hell can we put "advisers" into Ukraine and them be out of harm's way?? Putin will double-tap ANY and EVERY place they are bunked with Iskander-Ms....he'd make a point of it. Also, what possible "training" could they provide in an active war zone that would be worth the risk of their destruction? From what I understand, the US has trained a few hundred Ukrainian tank crews and support personnel; about three months training. When US Army soldiers would get EIGHT months of training. Also, Ukraine does not operate any tank with a turbine engine, and to qualify to be an engine mechanic for the Abrams a US army recruit has to score in the 99th percentile on the ASVAB. THREE months of training; finding people smart enough to maintain them when Ukraine has taken 500,000 casualties and most men not yet drafted have fled the country. The Abrams' time on Ukraine's battlefield will be short and brutal.

  11. Fair game if Ukraine had the weapons. However for the United States to give (not sell) the means to do so, is indistinguishable from joining the war on their side, imho. If Ukraine had their own arms industry and were able build and deploy such weapons, no problem. For Biden to send them the munitions to do it? HELL NO.

If Russia moved first, I'd be down 100% with Joe Biden. However, we moved on them first. We blew up the Minsk agreement, we made plans to put US Navy into Odessa, we have the Aegis Ashore missiles ready to move forward into Ukraine. WE are the aggressor. Fuk that
