I watched the whole vid nonstop with a smile on my face the entire time; when Rory grinned, I grinned as he is a master at transmitting "feel" via his words and demeanor. I then remembered the first time I watched a similar track video of the Porsche Taycan lapping VIR, and how it was so boring I stopped watching after about two minutes.... I don't care if we have to burn wood as fuel; racing is only worth doing if you have an engine. It is like the joy of sailing a sailboat; 10,000 years can pass with far better ways to move that boat, but the joy of doing it by rigging and canvas never goes away.

True. I was so excited by the C7's looks I ordered one immediately and took delivery of a 2014 Stingray on Oct. 2013. When I first saw the C8 photos I was initially excited but once I saw it up close I just couldn't get over its awkward proportions and crazy rear deck with all kinds of wedges and hard angles. Then GM confirmed no manual and that was it. No C8 for me; still have my C7. Ugly and no stick shift?? Waste of time for me...

I'm sorry but I was just in my Audi dealer here in Dallas and they had the "Christmas Parade" of cars in the showroom. 9 brand new Audis all in white arranged across the floor, with the first being an RS7 with brake calipers that looked the size of a half 16-in pizza. The current generation of Audis are the best looking they have ever created. The chiseled, muscular looks of A7, A6, A5, A4, A3 (a gorgeous S3 they had!) just makes me weep that I cannot buy them all and preserve them forever. You cannot look at the face of this new S5 and be honest with yourself and say it looks better than the outgoing S5. It does not. In ANY way. Grab the 2024s, NOW before its too late.

Cd of .21? That is like some science fiction type aero by 1990s standards.

Hilarious!! I know that feeling. I had a Prius and the low fuel indicator is a single "beep" and the warning light is the SAME color as all the other dash indicator lights. I have a 50 mile work commute and I just left work one day like nothing unusual. I'm on highway , music playing, my mind on a dozen other things, and I notice the distance readout says "0". I'm like "oh sh**"...I had no idea if it was 0 when I left work or had just flipped to 0. Of course I'm doing 80 on a highway and no idea where nearest station is. I heard a Prius can do like 10 miles on battery alone when it runs out of gas but at VERY low speed; I had to get off highway NOW. When I found a station and crept in I was just like you----please don't die 50 feet from the pump!!! Hahahah!

Ohhh, that stunning interior at 4:55 just inspires me to......vomit. The Mazda MX-GT I drove in 1995 had a far more luxurious and engaging interior than this rolling penalty box. Would it kill Tesla to hire some interior design people from JLR???

I like Audi; I have a 2021 A4. However, I can still go to my local Infiniti dealer and get a brand new Q50 Red Sport with a bulletproof 400hp V6, gorgeous design, real fuccing leather seats, and telepathic handling for $50K. To throw away $80K on this bloated, sterile, ode to Left-Wing policy is utter madness. Ya'll go ahead and be stupid; I'll be enjoying my real car...
