  1. I watched the whole vid nonstop with a smile on my face the entire time; when Rory grinned, I grinned as he is a master at transmitting "feel" via his words and demeanor. I then remembered the first time I watched a similar track video of the Porsche Taycan lapping VIR, and how it was so boring I stopped watching after about two minutes.... I don't care if we have to burn wood as fuel; racing is only worth doing if you have an engine. It is like the joy of sailing a sailboat; 10,000 years can pass with far better ways to move that boat, but the joy of doing it by rigging and canvas never goes away.

  2. True. I was so excited by the C7's looks I ordered one immediately and took delivery of a 2014 Stingray on Oct. 2013. When I first saw the C8 photos I was initially excited but once I saw it up close I just couldn't get over its awkward proportions and crazy rear deck with all kinds of wedges and hard angles. Then GM confirmed no manual and that was it. No C8 for me; still have my C7. Ugly and no stick shift?? Waste of time for me...
