Every time I begin to feel a little sorry for Ukraine, I see a video of an armored vehicle with a balkenkreuz ( german cross) painted on it, firing at the Russians, and all my budding sympathy evaporates. Why? After two years why would Azov brigade continue to do things like this which only makes them appear to be exactly what Putin calls them??

Ukraine wastes their few remaining missiles and ammo for this while at this very moment they are retreating from Robotyne, meaning EVERYTHING they sacrificed the $20B NATO army to gain last summer is now back in Russian hands. The intransigence of Ukraine under Zelensky reminds me of that of Imperial Japan in 1945; even after two A-bombs, the Military wanted to fight on. It was only when the Emperor stepped in and said "no, we will surrender" that the war ended. Unfortunately for Ukraines' people, there is no Emperor to overrule Zelensky and his Nationalists....

  10. RU triggering booby traps and mines most likely (or some unlucky ones tripping them). Red Army did the same in WW2. When they lost a city, they rigged it with bombs and mines...some set for up to 30 days later. Weeks after the fighting, Wehrmacht would be eating breakfast and the whole building would explode. Von Bock, Von Paulus, and Von Manstein used to complain bitterly about the tactic.

  20. Even as an American I can't help but have some modicum of respect for these people. It doesn't matter what I think of their culture, nor does it matter what they think of mine. Both they and I are free; free to do as we wish without interference by the other. They simply refuse to be the slaves of the United States. I like that.

  21. LOL. Poland's people have been blocking the border with Ukraine for months, dumping their grain and other cheap goods from entering. Most EU citizens support a negotiated settlement. The Capitals are all "rah rah rah Ukraine forever to the last Ukrainian!", but the people's voices tell a different story.

  25. This was reported a week ago on Military Summary. Most ATACMS were shot down but a few got through to the airbase in Crimea. At least one S-400 system was destroyed, and some planes were damaged (SU-30 and SU-24). Zelensky was very proud of it and spoke highly of it the next morning. Of course, the next night RU sent twice as many Tornado-S to Ukraine and this was the spectacular wipeout of many Mig-29s where we could clearly see the airburst of the cluster warhead taking out Migs and the S-300 guarding the base. Zelensky was quiet about this one though....

  27. US cannot attack Iran without an authorization from Congress. Which is why the Biden Admin. will "coordinate" with Israel, meaning the US military will arm, equip, and direct IDF without our planes or ships actually firing. That's what makes war by proxy so appealing; just have the proxy do what you yourself legally cannot....

  38. US actions under the Biden Admin. have long passed into the realm of absurd. A couple of days ago they asked India to ban RT channel because, well, we banned it so everyone else should too. Today the Biden Admin. urges "Iran to avoid furthering tensions...".... That's like the Germans calling up FDR the day after Pearl Harbor and telling him "don't take any actions that would further tensions...." against Japan....
