  1. Interesting that its a mutation related to melanin. Lack of melanin in their skin is what makes them so pale they have to cover themselves or use sunscreen their entire lives. The sun is literally lethal to such people; their skin cancer rates in Norway are among the highest in the world. The closer they move to the equator, melanoma would wipe them out within a few centuries. They can only safely exist where they are while humans with melanin have no such restrictions. Blonde/blue people are mutants
