What is new about this? In life always good to have a back up plan as most things are not in your sole control. In 1993 I was 21 fresh out of college, and my girlfriend of 2 years got a job near my city. A year later I was still just enjoying myself (and her) and one day she called me and flat out said: "what are you going to do? I'm here now 3 years waiting on you and no ring, no mention of anything. I'm done waiting; are you going to marry me or not?" I said I "wasn't sure" but I really was. I didn't hear from her for a couple of weeks so I called and when she answered there was another guy there. She went to another room and in a low voice said: "he wouldn't be here if you got off your ass and did what you were supposed to do". Sure enough, a year later she married that guy (and 8 years after that they got divorced). ALL women have a backup man. Like Beyonce said: "If you liked it you shoulda put a ring on it". If you don't someone else will and then you will be the lonely mofo in the strip club with no money left looking all forlorn. Don't be that guy.

Do women understand that men do not marry the town "bicycle"; the one everyone has "ridden"?? This has been true for all of recorded history across all cultures, and there is a valid biological reason: women can be sure a baby is theirs while men cannot. The only way for a man to have any sense of assuredness that the child is actually his, is for the woman to have been a virgin (or at the very least in the modern age not have a confirmed track record of riding everything they see). Feminism got rid of those natural limiting factors, so modern women have "freedom" to mount up whenver/wherever they wish. That freedom comes with a price however, men no longer consider most modern women "marriage quality". There is a price for everything, and for everything there is a price.
