I haven't owned a 5er since I sold my E34 525i to my buddy in 2000. I was very close to grabbing a 2021 530e when the Fed and State tax credits were taking $10K off the price of it (making it cheaper than a 530i), but the State one ran out before I could buy and I didn't bother. This one is thankfully not a brutishly ugly armored vehicle like the new 7, but it is definitely not tastefully elegant like the current one. I'll pass...

Strange times. A Kia EV is $70K. RRs are a "good buy" these days.

I don't care which one people buy, I work for GM! I hope people take out a 10 year auto loan and buy both of them----the Silverado for work, the Hummer for fun!!🙂

Had to go look up "Ford Puma"; that model never sold in US. Now I see what y'all are talking about....yeahhhh from the front maybe.

Yeah, they certainly are not the laughable trash they were 25 years ago, but most people never admitted to buying a Kia until about 2015 or so. At slightly below their MSRP, they are OK values-----however at MSRP (or above!??!?) only a fool would buy them. It is well documented that their engines are bottom of the class, there is a good reason for the 10 year powertrain warranty. They also do not hold up well in the interior materials area; they look great on day 1, but with 10K to 20K miles the peeling, bruising, creaking reminds you what you really bought. Now that they cost about the same as a Toyota or Honda, it makes no sense to buy them at that price.
