  1. Look at those beautiful babies! Always thought the Tu-160 "Blackjack" was a beautiful bird back in 1988 when Tom Clancy first wrote about it in his spy thriller novels. Only had a few pictures of it then, and no one in the West really knew its capabilities. The crazy thing is over 30 years later, the United States still does not have a strategic bomber capable of Mach 2 (and the UK doesn't even have a single bomber at all!). After Russia's performance the past two years, I no longer call any of their equipment by the NATO names I knew growing up. Russia has earned the right for its war machines to be called by their proper Russian names. The "White Swan" is all this plane will ever be to me from now on.
