Poor Syrsky, given the reins of an army already defeated. If I were a high-ranking AFU officer, I'd have balked at that Kursk plan the moment I heard about it. Open a new front while the one we have is collapsing? For what? A few weeks on CNN/BBC? That's no way for a soldier to go out; I'd want to meet my foe in the Donbas where it matters."

RU always a bit slow to gather itself, but once they do its ggwp. CNN will run with this for a few days and will drop the whole story once the AFU units are destroyed or retreat

Russia is in no hurry, they have the manpower and logistics. It really is just a matter of time for them.

The Fall of this city is so predictably disastrous, it is almost as if Joe Biden himself were in Command back at AFU HQ.

I am really enjoying watching the steamroller do its thing; who doesn't enjoy it when their words from 26 months ago are proven right? I am sad and angry though; I have no malice to Ukraine, but those in the Biden Admin that set this course for them make me shiver in rage. Why? Because I know from 40 years of being an American, that they will not suffer ANY consequence, while Ukraine's people will suffer EVERY consequence.

The average Ukrainian dood born in 2000 or so must've had a really and truly sad childhood and upbringing. These young guys throw their lives away like Imperial Japanese Army/Navy in 1944

RU has almost 500 Tu-22 bombers that so far have only been used as cruise missile carriers this entire war. Those things can carry 50,000+ lbs of weapons; I'm sure they can carry FAB-3000, not just Su-34.

We are watching the beginning of the End...

Ukraine reminds me a lot of Imperial Japan in 1944. A vastly superior, inexorable opponent that they just cannot physically stop, slowly but surely taking waypoint after waypoint. Each one not a disaster by itself, but as more of them fall, the weight of their collective loss becomes oppressive. Yet, deep resentment and ideology (on both sides) prevents them from trying to end the war. A sense of fatalism on the part of the leadership....."we go to the bitter end"....as they would rather be finished than live in a world where they lost.

I'm sure they already do...

Avdiivka, Ukraine about to become Avdiivka, Russia. Remember this when you mail your letters

We can't see it, but to me its effects prove it is there. Russia must have some major-grade full spectrum Electronic Warfare assets all around Avdiivka. AFU has no shortage of FPV drones, but you hardly see any strikes all around the city (in areas which should be well in range of FPV drones). AFU is a TikTok army----they waste no time in posting their success on social media; if you don't see many posts of success, that means they are not having much success. No FPV drones, no GPS-guided bombs, no starlink service = No chance for AFU.

When you see articles on MSNBC titled "Russian superior tactics and firepower winning the East" or "West admits Ukraines F-16s are inferior to Russian jets" and similar, you know the West has admitted to itself this is over...

Abrams or Challenger 2 soon?

If 92% of young Ukrainians do not believe it's worth their life to resist Russia, I don't see how any leader can go on. Soon there will be street protests and once those protests draw thousands instead of hundreds it's over.
