  1. We are 4 or 5 years away from EVs finally maturing enough that you don't have to look like a virtue-signaling idiot for buying one. SUV's, minivans, trucks etc. were never purchased for their sound so losing that to an electric motor is irrelevant. Sports cars however I still will buy in ICE form as long as they are sold (and after that will just buy them used----there will be enough to last 40 or 50 years of my estimated remaining lifetime). The only issue I see is whether to buy or lease; I personally hate leasing but with EVs that seems like the most intelligent way to drive them as their capabilities change very fast. A 2017 Audi Q3 is maybe 98% as capable as a 2022. However in five years the Q4 E-Tron will probably have double (or triple) the performance and range, meaning this one here will have the value of a doorstop. Then again that may mean I just buy them used...
