  1. Really amazes me that so many people think an EV is "futuristic". They were very popular 110 years ago; especially in urban areas EVs eventually were 30% of the cars on US roads by 1912! To a driver in 1900 the positives about EVs (simpler, quieter, easier to operate) are also true today. Convenience is why gas eventually won: the electric starter made ICE easy to start and cheap oil made cheap gas available everywhere that EVs didn't have the range to go. What's new is old, and what's old is now new again.
