  1. How does the exhaust plume not burn a hole through the bottom of the hull of the ship? A blast like that seems as if it would quickly melt right through the bottom of the ship.

  2. I won't even lie; I consider China a rival , not an enemy. They cheat and steal stuff all day long, but they were so far behind 30 years ago, they had to. Based on how they were dominated 70 years ago, I don't blame them. When I was a kid in the 80s, the idea China would have a supercarrier was literally science fiction. I'm happy to see them strong enough to protect themselves; I hope they will use their power more judiciously and with less arrogance than the British or United States did...
