  1. The Soviet-era M-46 gun is an excellent weapon; a good design is a good design---regardless of how many decades have passed. M-46s are being used because now with 130mm shells from NK, they can be used (RU does not produce 130mm caliber). The gun is 80 yrs old but has 17 km range and the 130mm shell ballistics make it good enough for counter-battery fire and infantry suppression. RU has thousands of these in storage as they were (and are) still widely in service around the world. If there is an uptick in artillery destroyed its because there is an uptick in artillery used ....."
