  2. It all started with Nixon and the creation of the petro dollar. With help and blessings of the Sauds, and thanks to their influence many other oil rich nations fell in line, refusing to sell oil for anything other than USD. A Master Stroke, well not for us, my family never saw a dime of it, but now every nation on Earth that needed to buy oil had to get US dollars first! I don't know how a U.S. politician can with a straight face condemn Russia OR China making comparatively MINOR expansion of influence...
