If we were great we would have spent the 90s fixing all the issues sidelined during the cold war, if we were smart we wouldn't have let a bunch of generation x ivy league trust-fund babies run the economy then either. I lived through the 90s and I'll tell you what, we were shipping American jobs overseas, while completely ignoring what needed to be done at home to carry us into a better future. Oh well, nothing a little revisionist history writing can't fix...
