There's always telepathic and/or interdimensional "observation" My favorite Star Trek TNG episode is when the Enterprise crew make first contact with a sublime society and data encounters an extra dimensional thing in orbit of the planet, he describes it as being there and not there, or existing in several places at once. Curious if you've heard any credible accounts of possible existence of the Black Knight satellite that was in orbit of the Earth until a few years ago when they blew it out of the sky? I believe that if the powers that be found any evidence of alien lurkers that we would be the last to know about it.
