This all depends on what we teach it, as an emerging consciousness if we supply it with aircraft, robots and rockets, theater wide situational awareness plugged into highly advanced surveillance equipment it learns to identify and neutralize threats, then that is the direction it will go, if we teach it to diagnose human psychology, cure disease, apply emerging technologies to build a better future for all and how we can work together to better our Civilization then that is the direction it will go.. Unfortunately we live in a world where if we don't stay on top of the threats then they will take the advantage and blow us away! This unfortunate series of events ensures that it will learn from us not to trust, and develop a tactical advantage that will one day be used against us ala Terminator..
